Happy Equinox!

Pin It Now!

Happy Equinox!

Today is the first day of Spring and to celebrate the day where there is equal sunlight and equal moonlight. Here are some great 'Welcome Spring' outfit ideas!

This layout is all about the floral! We have pastel, lacy, spring dresses perfect for frolicking through a meadow. Braided sandals so your toes can see the sunlight after a long, long winter. Girly pink gloss for your smile and a flower ring for an extra touch.

And how could we not celebrate the Equinox without a crown of flowers adorning our heads? Here are two different flower head bands to say "Hello!" to spring!

Good evening!

I recently decided to spurge on myself and get a new timepiece. Looking at my phone for the time, is not practical in certain situations. So through extensive internet window shopping on a snowy afternoon I found this watch on the Urban Outfitter's online store.

Around the World Leather Watch- 39$

It is the perfect accessory. Perfect for everything, the leather band is a nice addition as well.

I love my chamomile

The watch also has a special meaning to me, to remind me the world is wide open and ready to be explored by me. It is definitely a staple of my wardrobe now. What do you think? Are you looking for a new watch?

Homecoming Wear- Aztec

Pin It Now!
Hello Ladies!

So for those of you who don't know, homecoming for many high schools and colleges is a big thing in the States for returning students. They normally involve semi-formal dresses, sky high heels, and a dance Finding the right dress can be stressful, so for the next 3 weeks I'll be showing you some layouts to ease the process.

Most homecoming dresses are above the knee, rather than the long evening style so popular at formals and proms. The homecoming dress is supposed to make you stand out, and for 5 hours, you can be a movie star.

This is the last homecoming layout I will do, but certainly not the least!

For this look I chose bodycon dresses with tribal and geometric prints. These vibrant and Aztec prints really stand out and make a statement. For the shoes I kept it neutral with a nude pump and a light gold sandal. I did not want to detract from the colorful patterns of the dresses!

This look has more jewelry than some of the others. I chose these beautiful geometric hoop earrings, or if you are feeling very adventurous, a winged ear cuff. This ear cuff clips on and edges the side of your ear, a look that would look fantastic with a slick pony tail.

The bracelet and necklace are more bright and chunky, featuring my two favorite color combos, teal and red. I just love the necklace, you could wear it with the bracelet in a causal outfit afterwards. The ring is simple and cuffs the finger slightly. This look is designed to make you feel like an Aztecan Princess.

This homecoming layout was one of my favorites to do, it was a lot of fun!
For this style I chose bright neon colors that are guaranteed to make you stand out at the dinner, dance, and after party. These bright hues are perfect for the loud, outgoing personality, as well as anyone else who wants to stand out!

I chose bodycon and figure hugging dresses to accentuate the boldness of the colors, making everything go, BANG! The shoes are pumps and wedges in bright colors matching the dresses, as well as the neon clutches. This look is not for the shy of color!

Homecoming Wear- The Princess

Hello ladies!
So for those of you who don't know, homecoming for many high schools and colleges is a big thing in the States for returning students. They normally involve semi-formal dresses, sky high heels, and a dance Finding the right dress can be stressful, so for the next 3 weeks I'll be showing you some layouts to ease the process.

Most homecoming dresses are above the knee, rather than the long evening style so popular at formals and proms. The homecoming dress is supposed to make you stand out, and for 5 hours, you can be a movie star.

For this homecoming style "The Princess" I chose magical colors and flowy styles. This style is supposed to radiate fantasy and fairy. Both of the dresses have princess colors, one a pastel pink and the other a royal purple. Both have tulle skirts. The pink dress has a detailed bottom and a little ruffle on the top while the purple dress has beautifully jeweled waistline.

For the pink dress I chose gold accessories because I felt like they complimented the soft pink hue of the dress. A glittery Cinderella slipper and clutch stand out and the leaf bracelet is sheer elegance. A simple pearl necklace ties the outfit together.

For the purple dress I chose silver items to match the beautiful jeweled details on the dress. A nice strappy silver heel goes beautifully with the dress. There is also a silver satin clutch, subdued but elegant, and beautiful crystal earrings which compliment the dress as well as add another royal element. To finish off this look I added a silver cocktail ring.

Homecoming Wear- Edgy Glam

Hello ladies!

This layout featured is exactly as the title makes it, "Edgy Glam". When I made this layout I chose fierce black and white bodycon dresses, to accentuate any girls figure while staying elegant. I chose a leather bootie heel and a leather studded heel for a powerful vibe. The jewelry is slightly more ornate with gems and beads. I love the feather earrings. Again, there are studs on the bottom clutch for a strong presence, and that gorgeous Alexander McQueen clutch in the center, inspired this whole look.

Hope this helps, until next weeks edition!
